… we’re just alike, you and I
Seriously though we are starting now! :)
It’s a partyyyy
He’s Moriarty!
Hey so if we’re friends on here and we’ve talked or if we mutually follow each other or have a connection or even if one or none of those things apply, you guys can always ask for my Skype and Facebook info and whatever else. I’m very much okay with giving out my Skype info (though I suck at starting conversations I promise I’m not ignoring you). And I’ll generally hand out my Facebook if we’ve talked a few times. So yeah. Don’t ever be afraid to ask because I’m 105% okay with all of this. Otherwise I wouldn’t be making this post.
| I really thought Benedict was going to be playing Gary Mitchell from TOS and that Alice Eve (carol) would be Dr. Elizabeth Dehner (mainly cause Alice Eve looks so damn much like Dr. Dehner). Just felt like mentioning that and because yeah I feel like they maybe felt pressured to do Khan because it's the second movie in TOS movies which if that's true; Bring on the Whales in Star Trek 4 WOO! | ||

| THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID! Like the movie would have been just as good if they kept his identity the same! Like jesus they didn't have to go the route they did...a little tweeking and I think they owuldn't have pissed off so many people... (still fucking love the movie though because I guess I'm way more easily pleased) | ||

Agreed! Nearly everyone was already expecting John Harrison, and had basically accepted the fact that that’s who it was. No one was raising a huge fuss because it was an original character. But then he wasn’t John Harrison and shit hit the fan. I loved the movie, I’ll spend money to see it again, and I’ll enjoy it every time. But I think they opened up something they weren’t fully prepared to deal with with revealing Harrison as Khan? Idk.
now I want to write a STID AU where John Harrison stays John Harrison and is just some Starfleet officer who learns that his superiors are making military-type weapons and starships and learns of these torpedos that have people in them and that Marcus is planning on starting a war with the Klingons, and Harrison defects in the hopes of exposing these plans. But then he pisses off Kirk, who comes chasing after him, and Kirk has the torpedos and basically the entire plot follows the storyline of the movie except that Kirk and Harrison don’t betray each other and they somehow magically solve Kirk’s death some other (less obvious) way.
